February 10, 2017:
When Lombardi Award Finalist, Jonathan Allen, realized he left his tuxedo at home it was 3:00PM the day of the award ceremony. Mr. Allen, an Alabama defensive end projected to be a top 5 pick in the NFL draft, knew there was only 1 place that could take care of him with a same day tuxedo rental, Al’s Formal Wear.
When store manager Arthur Warnock received the call, he was only given Mr. Allen’s height and weight. This was enough information for our tuxedo expert to get a “Hot-Shot” as we call it from the Houston warehouse, hand deliver it to Hobby Center, make sure the tuxedo fit correctly and had him ready by 4PM. Mr. Warnock also paid close attention to the details, making sure Allen’s vest and bowtie matched his alma mater’s color of crimson.
3 of the 4 Lombardi Award Finalists – Lamar Jackson of Louisville, Myles Garrett of Texas A&M and the award winner Jonathan Allen, were outfitted in Al’s Formal Wear tuxedos. Congratulations to these fine gentlemen for their accomplishments! We look forward to seeing what they can do at the next level.
